Rapak’s Bag-in-Box for beer is the new alternative to traditional kegs. Bag-in-Box when used in combination with draftstream™ carbonating systems addresses issues associated with dispensing draft beer from traditional keg systems.

Hygiene and Taste are key factors that can alter the taste of draft-dispensed beer. Rapak Bag-in-Box addresses these two issues and offers peace of mind!

STEPS TO USE:

  1. Production – The beer is brewed, fermented and stored as usual.
  2. De-carbonisation – Before filling, the CO2 concentrate is reduced to approximately 1g/litre.
  3. Filling – The beer is filled in 20L bags and packed into boxes.
  4. Transport – The boxes are palletised and transported to the customer with a 30% improvement on utilisation through the logistics routing.
  5. Connecting to the Pump Unit – A pump (electric or compressed air) & a carbonator are placed between BIB & the existing dispense head. During dispense CO2 is reintroduced to the beer at the desired concentration.
  6. Dispensing – The re-carbonated beer exits the carbonator at 2.5 bars (the usual keg pump pressure) & is pumped using existing pump unit.
